Bicycle repair and service

Norwich Swarm, May 2nd 2016

Decided to do the swarm this year for the first time, as a warm up for some tough events to come.  I cycled there and back so totaled 130 miles! I’m in training for the Fred Whitton in the Lakes soon, so 130 flat miles should be easy? The event starts at Carrow road, and I managed to get a puncture in Hempnal on the way there, not a good start to the day! I met up with Paul who sensibly drove there.

Who says Norfolk is flat? There are plenty of inclines and wind on the way to the coast and back. Considering it was a while since I did a 100, it wasn’t bad. We took about 7 hours, I know pretty slow, but we are old! The ride home after 115 miles was tough, thank goodness for village shops, so I could get some food inside me.
